Sodus Bay Junior Sailing Association, Inc.

SBJSA was founded in 1956 by several forward thinking yacht club members as a means to teach children and young adults the basics of swimming, sailing and seamanship. The Association was formed as a 501(c)3 educational organization in order to qualify as a school and a tax exempt method of fundraising and giving.

Commitment and dedication to this program are

evident in the numerous youth sailors who go on

to become sailing and swimming instructors as

well as those who continue their sailing career

into college and beyond.

Our presence within the community is widely

known through the annual barbeque fundraisers,

golf tournaments and scholarship funds. We fully

recognize and greatly appreciate the

unparalleled support of our founding families,

endowment donors and charitable contributors.

We are reminded of the positive impact we

continue to make within the community and

among our sailing families as we see generation

after generation arrive each summer at SBJSA.
